How old is America’s Latino population?
America’s Latino population is far younger than its white population. Sixteen-and-a-half percent of Hispanic women and 17.3 percent of Hispanic men are under 18, while 9.8 percent of white women and 10.3 percent of white men are under 18. Latino families also tend to be larger: 27.5 percent of Latino families contain five or more people, but only 10.2 percent of white families contain five or more people.
