How many undocumented Latino immigrants are living in America?
Exact figures don’t exist, but in March 2010, the Pew Hispanic Center estimated that unauthorized immigrants made up 3.7 percent of the nation’s population and 5.2 percent of its labor force. The Center also estimated that, from March 2009 to March 2010, children born to unauthorized parents accounted for 8 percent of newborns. Seventy percent of those children were born to undocumented parents from Mexico, and 17 percent were from other Latin American countries. The remaining 13 percent were from Asia, Europe, Africa or Canada. [Source]
