“So I said somebody should create a lexicon of sustainability and they should find all of the most interesting, innovative, solution-based thinkers and they should collect them all together, ask each of them to give one idea — and explain what that term means. I thought with the way that I make photographs I could show what it means: All of the writing that I’d do on top of each image would be in the person’s own words.”
