With data from the Sunlight Foundation, Slate created this clickable map that presents a state-by-state breakdown of the cash super PACs are spending on negative ad campaigns in the Republican primaries. Slate reports that “over 54 percent of super PAC spending so far has been negative.” Some haters are bigger than others — for example, the Romney-backing Restore Our Future has spent “97 percent of its $31 million budget” on ads against Santorum and Gingrich.
