Social activist Grace Lee Boggs has dedicated her life to helping realize Martin Luther King’s concepts of nonviolence and his vision of Beloved Community in her hometown of Detroit and elsewhere around the country.
Since September, the 99-year-old Boggs has been in hospice and requires 24-hour care, which costs about $8,000 per month. She’s depleted nearly all of her own resources and her friends have set up a trust, as Bill mentions in the clip above. For those of you who would like to contribute see the appeal on Action Network.
