We’re excited to be featuring the work of Pulitzer Prize-winning animated political cartoonist Mark Fiore on BillMoyers.com.

Don’t miss the biggest battle in town: Bishops vs. Nuns! In “Smackdown,” Fiore enters the fray between the Vatican and the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR).

Also, don’t miss our continuing (serious) coverage of the upcoming LCRW Assembly meeting and the Nuns on the Bus tour, in which sisters visited community centers, low-cost housing, food pantries and congressional offices to highlight social justice issues from Iowa to Washington, D.C.

We’ll have a special report recapping what happened on the tour on Moyers & Company later this month.

Ya gotta love the one true church!!

The Nuns on the Bus are my heroes. They are ‘living’ the religion they taught so many of us.

  • Patricia

Trying to silence 59,000 women? Good luck, Vatican!

  • Taylorbad

    I stand with the sisters.

The nuns may “have the crowds” (However non-Catholic a demographic that may be), but in the Catholic Church the Vatican has the *authority*. Popularity contests do not change policy in the Catholic Church. The nuns will lose. Guaranteed.

Good thought by the way …
