Occupy activists in many cities have formed partnerships with the Move to Amend coalition, a group working to overturn the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United ruling by an amendment to the U.S. Constitution. David Cobb, one of the spokespeople for Move to Amend (and the 2004 Green Party presidential candidate) said that the partnership lead to over 300 resolutions against corporate personhood in municipalities around the country. 150 “Occupy the Court” actions also took place over the last year, the biggest of which was held on the steps of the Supreme Court on Jan. 20, the second anniversary of the Citizens United ruling. The protest ended with activists storming the steps of the Court and a mass arrest.
