Occupy Our Homes
In response to the ongoing foreclosures across America in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, Occupy Our Homes organized to help homeowners facing foreclosure. The movement connects homeowners with lawyers and organizes petition drives for people to help individual homeowners put pressure on the foreclosing bank. They’ve had several victories over the past year — Colleen Espinosa’s family in Minneapolis, featured in the video to the left, is one example.
