Among his books are How the Irish Saved Civilization, The Gifts of the Jews, Why the Greeks Matter and his latest Heretics and Heroes: How Renaissance Artists and Reformation Priests Created Our World.

Prior to publishing his in-depth historical volumes, Cahill was the director of religious publishing for Doubleday.
