Victoria Sanford is the author of six books including Buried Secrets: Truth and Human Rights in Guatemala and the forthcoming Bittersweet Justice: Femincide, Impunity and Courts of Last Resort. She is a professor of anthropology and director of the Center for Human Rights at Lehman College, City University of New York.
