7) CORPORATE PLEDGE
Citizens can pressure companies to refrain from political spending. Through retirement and investment accounts, many of us are part owners of the very corporations trying to wrestle away control of our democracy. Common Cause Minnesota is leading the charge in this campaign. The group sent a letter to the 100 largest corporations and unions asking them to pledge not to spend money directly on political campaigns.
